Vanaf 1 januari 2027 stopt de salderingsregeling. Daardoor kunt u teruggeleverde zonnestroom niet meer verrekenen met elektriciteit die u op een ander moment afneemt. Het wordt daardoor belangrijker om zoveel mogelijk zonnestroom direct zelf te gebruiken. Een thuisbatterij kan helpen door overtollige energie tijdelijk op te slaan, maar het einde van salderen maakt een batterij niet automatisch financieel rendabel. De juiste capaciteit en laadstrategie blijven bepalend.

Dat hangt af van uw dagelijkse stroomverbruik, de hoeveelheid zonnestroom die u overhoudt en wanneer u energie gebruikt. Ook toekomstige apparaten zoals een warmtepomp of laadpaal spelen mee. Een grotere batterij is niet automatisch beter: wanneer de capaciteit nauwelijks volledig wordt gebruikt, investeert u onnodig veel. Daarom analyseren wij uw energieprofiel en adviseren we de capaciteit die daadwerkelijk bij uw woning past.

Wat is het verschil tussen kW en kWh bij een thuisbatterij?

kWh geeft aan hoeveel energie een batterij kan opslaan. kW geeft aan hoeveel vermogen de batterij op een bepaald moment kan leveren of opnemen. Een batterij kan bijvoorbeeld 10 kWh energie opslaan, maar maximaal 5 kW leveren. Beide waarden zijn belangrijk: voldoende opslagcapaciteit alleen is niet genoeg wanneer het laad- of ontlaadvermogen niet aansluit op uw woning en apparaten.

Voor particuliere thuisbatterijen bestaat momenteel geen landelijke aanschafsubsidie zoals de ISDE. Wel kan financiering via het Nationaal Warmtefonds onder voorwaarden mogelijk zijn. We adviseren daarom altijd onderscheid te maken tussen subsidie en financiering: een lening via het Warmtefonds moet worden terugbetaald en is geen gratis bijdrage.

Kan ik een thuisbatterij financieren via het Nationaal Warmtefonds?

Ja, onder voorwaarden. U moet al zonnepanelen hebben of deze tegelijk laten installeren. De batterij en eventuele omvormer moeten achter de meter worden aangesloten en de installatie moet professioneel worden uitgevoerd. Plug-and-playbatterijen vallen niet binnen deze financieringsmogelijkheid. Onder de actuele voorwaarden kan maximaal €8.500 voor de thuisbatterij inclusief installatie en bijkomende kosten worden meegenomen. Welke voorwaarden precies voor u gelden, controleren we altijd op het moment van aanvraag.

Kan een thuisbatterij samenwerken met zonnepanelen, een warmtepomp en laadpaal?

Kan een thuisbatterij samenwerken met zonnepanelen, een warmtepomp en laadpaal?

Ja. Juist dan wordt slim energiebeheer interessant. Zonnepanelen wekken energie op, de batterij kan een deel daarvan opslaan en een slimme laadpaal of warmtepomp kan vervolgens rekening houden met de beschikbare energie. Wel verschillen de verbruiksprofielen sterk. Een elektrische auto heeft bijvoorbeeld een veel grotere accu dan een gemiddelde thuisbatterij, en een warmtepomp gebruikt vooral in de winter veel stroom wanneer zonnepanelen minder produceren. Daarom ontwerpen we het systeem op basis van uw complete woning in plaats van losse apparaten.

Dat kan. Sommige slimme batterijsystemen kunnen laden wanneer elektriciteit relatief goedkoop is en ontladen wanneer stroom duurder is. Dat kan aanvullend financieel voordeel opleveren. De resultaten zijn echter afhankelijk van prijsverschillen, het energiecontract, de software, batterijslijtage en marktontwikkelingen. Wij zouden daarom nooit een vaste handelsopbrengst of gegarandeerd rendement beloven.

Niet automatisch. Veel thuisbatterijen schakelen bij een stroomstoring uit omdat de installatie niet als zelfstandig elektriciteitsnet mag blijven functioneren. Wilt u noodstroom of back-upvoorziening, dan moeten de batterij, omvormer en elektrische installatie daar specifiek voor zijn ontworpen. Sommige systemen kunnen alleen geselecteerde groepen blijven voeden, terwijl andere oplossingen een groter deel van de woning kunnen ondersteunen. Dit moet daarom vooraf in het ontwerp worden meegenomen.

Batterijsystemen met een vermogen vanaf 0,8 kW moeten worden geregistreerd. Daarnaast is professionele installatie belangrijk vanwege de hoeveelheid opgeslagen energie en de aansluiting op uw elektrische installatie.
